oops I did it again…
Sorry to those of you who do follow this lil bloggy of mine…I did it again…I am just so hooked on just sending pic updates instead of real literature for your eyes. So, update on life: I’ll be in Nashville this time next week!!! I started a pottery class today, and boy am I soooooooo excited!!!! (see previous post for 1st day of class bowl). This past weekend I went to the beach and fried my back…it hurts to lay on it! :(
I ate a lot lot lot this past weekend…well not a lot, just a lot of good! Xie Xie for asian sandwiches (checking out my bro’s top chef competition..psh), followed by a little Jamba Juice, then another asian sandwich from All Thai Up (or something?). That was Saturday. Sunday was a delish everything bagel with lite cream cheese that had cucumbers and scallions mixed in! um, yum, right? That was for the train ride to Brighton Beach (a little bit of Russia)…after the day in the sun (with some lil icey things on the beach) Hay and I went to this place called Glechik that my Russian coworker suggested us to go to. SO authentic…yum yum Vaerenki and Pelmini (dumplings), Lamb Kebab, and Capote (a very sweet drink with fruit in it. Monday (wahooo memorial day off) we ventured ALL OVER THE CITY. Started in Chinatown…Sheng Weng hooked us up with some amazing dumplings and some fresh handpulled noodles in soup…in 90 degree weather. SO tastey (def beats Tasty Hand Pulled Noodle Restaurant). Alan met us there…after that we walked up to Hay’s friends apartment…I got a lemonade in the East Vill…Haley found this gelato place she had been dying to go to…so she got her some..and shared. After meeting Danny at his place, we walked over to the West Side and went to Pop Bar. O.M.G. Gelato (I got the mix of chocolate and hazelnut) on a stick dipped in pistacio, THEN dipped in dark chocolate. After there, we (now just Hay, Danny, and me) walked back to SOHO/Nolita where Danny took us to his spot for Australlian burgers…whoa so good. Drooling yet?
After dinner we were about to pop…soo we walked Dan the man back to his apt in the east vill, hopped on the L back to our lovely home…and passed out.
Hope you all had a safe and delicious Memorial Day Weekend! Goodnight!
